Predatory Towing Company
They towed my car from a friend's apartment complex within an hour of me parking there. They failed to report the tow to the local police as they are required to, and appear to have not done so until the next morning. Thus when APD explained the towing procedure to me and told me that there was no record of my car having been towed, I believed it was stolen, filed a report, and missed a day's work looking for my vehicle. Incidentally, I have not been able to find any legal authority giving towing company's a lien on or right to hold vehicle's towed without the owner's consent, unless the tow is approved by a peace officer, which this was not.
